So this past weekend we had Sophia and Rayden's first birthday party. It was a complete success. We had about 25 kids and at least 50 adults. The kids had so much fun and the party ended up running over the time that we had set for. Stephanie(Rayden's Mom) and I put a lot of work into having such a great party. We had so much food and suprisingly we ended up getting presents. Sophia got a beach ball, 2 pairs of shoes, a couple of books, legos and 2 posters. We were not expecting gifts at all. We really were celebrating that we made it a year (us adults) and that it has been such a quick and wonderful year. For food we had two types of potatoe salad, macroni salad, pasta salad, lasagna, apples, hummus, carrots, hot dogs, macroni and cheese, french fries, and of course two cakes and 18 cupcakes. Stephanie was great and decorated the cakes for the kids. Rayden had a Little Drummer Boy cake and Sophia had a Princess cake. We had so much fun and can't wait till next year. Next year we are planning even bigger and better. Maybe bouncy houses. lol.
