Sophia's First Flight and Our New Place

Well we all woke up at 3am the other morning and prepared ourselves for Sophia's first flight. We prepared ourselves for her to be fussy and hard to deal with. Well we were pleasantly surprised. She did really well up until the flight to Grenada when she started to get a little fussy but not bad at all. She just did her complaining crying a little. She slept the entire way from Atlanta to Miami. We held up the flight a little leaving Richmond so that they could check and make sure that she was ok to fly as far as her documents. In the airports she did wonderful. I guess it was because there was so much to look at around her. During landings we held her up to the windows to look out at the planes and she loved that. When we finally got to Grenada that night after being in a holding pattern for 30 additional minutes after leaving late from Miami, Sophia had finally had it and let everyone know. Luckily one of the customs agents felt pity on us and let us through even though we were almost at the customs counter but either way it helped. We had to fill out health forms upon arrival since they are conserned with swine flu and the agents were wearing dust masks, like that would help, but whatever. So we finally made it to our new place at 10:30pm.

When we got home all we could think of is food, showers and sleep. We had gotten some sandwiches in Miami so we ate those while we let everyone know that we had arrived safe. Afterwards we took a nice cold shower and cooled off and slept so soundly.

The next day we unpacked boxes and went to the grocery store. It is so nice to have great friends like The Wards. They left stuff for us in our new place as well as kept a bunch of boxes stored for us. It was like having Christmas. We still have boxes coming to us from the states that we will have to unpack but it is mostly just Sophia's stuff. It pretty much took all day to unpack but Sophia didn't mind, she decided to catch up on sleep from not getting enough the day before. This morning Ricky has gotten his books out and has started to re-read through the previous semester's notes.
