6 month check up and at the beach

The other day we took Sophia to the local pediatrician to get her 6 month check up and her shots. Sophia liked the doctor as well as Ricky and me. She giggled and laughed for the doctor. She weighed 13.3 lbs and 24 inches long. Dr. Lowe said that she is doing really good. When the time came for her shot, I was able to nurse her while she administered the shot so Sophia just cried for a second. This is the biggest difference from back home. At home we are in the doctors office when the nurses give the shots. So we had a good experience. Sophia is right on target with her 6 month milestones. She is sitting up, babbling, eating solids (only fruits), passing a toy from one hand to another and standing up with little help. This is her being silly.

We took Sophia to the beach this morning and we believe that she is going to be a water baby. She was just kicking in the water. It was really nice until the sky opened up and started pouring but Sophia didn't mind because by this time she was fast asleep.
